In one of the Knowledge discourse tapes on Narada's bhakti Sutras by Sri Sri Ravishankar, he says Love is moving towards Unknown. I was really spending some quality time wondering about it. I was wondering why then people are afraid to take any risks in life? So is it natural for anybody to move towards Unknown? After some time, something dawned! Yes, of course it is so natural for anybody to move towards Unknown. The sudden dawning happened because of the change in the definition of Unknown itself. The moment we say Unknown, immediately we think it is something so foreign that we are suddenly taken aback. But if you look at it closely it is so obvious that it startles you. Just take this example - Who in the whole world is interested in doing the same exact things over and over again for the whole life? Suppose somebody is given a very small task to do like cleaning a table and asked to do the same over and over again 24 times a day for about 3 months, doesn't the person run away? Why? We want to do something new all the time. Even if not new, atleast we want to the same thing differently, isn't it? Why? Newness is something that we feel because something is unknown for us in it. This is the definition which made me see the knowledge point "Love is moving towards Unknown" so obviously. It is so natural for us to move towards something new, something unknown to us and that is the direction in which love flows so naturally!
I salute my master - Each and every word that comes out of his mouth is so precious. You can take just one word and spend a whole life time pondering over it - at every moment new meaning opens up!
Jai Guru Dev!!!

Good thoughts Ramki..Maybe in my instance I would expand that a bit to say Life instead of love, and to say the least we should accept to embrace the "Unknown".
