Tears of Gratitude!

I came up with a thought which I have posted in my Facebook wall...

Many are blind!
Few can see, but hardly notice the Light in front of them!
Even fewer can appreciate the beauty of that Light!
Even fewer can really Sit near the light for some time!
Alas, hardly few among them can recognize that the light is present to light up the inner beauty which is hidden inside!
What a Strange Creation! In spite of knowing this, the Light still Shines with a hope to light up Everybody's heart.

I feel so grateful that I am able to recognize my Guru. I may not know my Guru what he is, but I can see he is there for me guiding me in each step. I am so lucky... When I notice people who have come across him, but still revolving around their own world, I cannot control the tears in my eyes feeling how lucky I am not to be one of them...

More amazed I am when I see his compassion to each and every one irrespective of whether they can recognize HIM or not. All he hopes is some day they would recognize. It takes an enormous amount of Dispassion to be in that state!

My only prayer day in and day out is to keep my eyes and heart always open towards HIM and not to loose my sight at any point in time.

Shivaratri - The Sea of Love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tq048kmoAqU
I don't know how a Being can be as loving as HE is. The sea of Love he created in this satsang would have drowned me for sure!!! That is one of the reasons probably why I was kept out of the Post Puja Satsang.
Thank you Art of Living TV for Recording, preserving and Sharing such a Great video. This will be one of the most memorable one in whole life for many!!!

Position of eyes and lips linked to emotions

For the first time, I came to know the link between the position of eyes and lips and the various emotions. Guruji just now gave 2 back-to-back meditations for continuous 1 hour. And one was entirely based on this knowledge.

Position of eyes and lips are connected to 2 sides of the brain and correspondingly the emotions. A very Big Science Indeed!

The everpresent Ramayanam in our Life

I got to hear an astonishing knowledge from Guru in the talk titled "Spirituality in the new millennium".
Ramayanam is not just the history that happened 7 thousand years ago. It is an everpresent happening in our life...
Rama is the Atma and Sita is the mind. Ravana is the ego that take over the Mind (Sita). And with the help of Breath (Hanuman) and awareness (Lakmana), mind (Sita) unites with the Atma! Simply.amazing!!!

Yeshanas and the Eligibility to listen to Upanishad

If you get a chance you should watch the DVD titled "The Upanishads" by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This is one of the best talks I have listened to.
Thinking about the 4 yeshanas he talked about - Puthreshana, Vitheshana, Lokeshana and Jiveshana, I am amazed all our desires and the fear about them are completely covered here.

Puthreshana - Thinking about the progeny all the time...my children, my daughter, my son, etc.
Vitheshana - Thinking about money all the time
Lokeshana - Thinking about what people think about me
Jiveshana - Hoping to attain physical immortality

He goes on to say when we go beyond these 4 yeshanas we become eligible to listen to Upanishads. It is amazing to notice that these are indeed the majjor blocks in walking the path. I think the art is to become more and more aware of the moments we get into these so that we can come out of it.

I also noticed a subtle phenomenon that when we are children, we actually don't have any of these yeshanas, that is why we are able to live 100 % as a child. But as we grow older, these yeshanas crop up. Now I clearly understand why Guruji keeps stressing about having Intelligence and Innocence at the same time. It is entirely possible for anybody!

And in this talk he also so beautifully talked about the Guru Mandala. And here is an impromptu poem he sang...(Thanks to Lakshmi Narayanan to have got this text from somewhere....)

Beyond the heaven is my abode
come to me. come to me.
Don't stop, come to me.
If you get stuck in the heaven,
you will return back from there to hell.
Don't stop in the heaven, come to me, come to me.

My abode is beyond heaven, far away from here.
Come to me, come to me
All the charming faces, boys and girls, eyes and noses,
hairs and dresses, cookies and sweets and chocolates,
pass them on.
Smiling and dancing, come to me, come to me.

My abode is beyond the heaven.
come to me.
Joyfully move in this direction, a thousand blessings on the way.
walk through them, don't get stuck.
Pass through them.
come to me.

Angels are ready to serve you, and crown you with the highest.
Don't stop before that.
Come to me, come to me...
